Monizze

Context

Monizze is a Belgian employee-benefits provider. When I arrived there was no product culture: a textbook feature factory where everything was hand-built, with no buy-versus-build discipline behind the decisions.

What we did

I took responsibility for internal tooling and processes, and coached the product owners, upskilling them into full product managers.

I started building a proper discovery process, structured the product practice across Jira Product Discovery, Jira and Confluence, and, as part of the ESG squad, drove the first feature kill in years to shrink the product’s footprint.

Outcome

Sharper tooling and buy-versus-build decisions now cut roughly €0.5M from annual costs, and the first feature kill in years shrank the product footprint.

What lasts

A product culture that did not exist before: a real discovery process, a structured toolchain across Jira Product Discovery, Jira and Confluence, and product owners who have grown into full product managers.
